“You look cool,” her friend said when he saw me after I got out of the hospital.
“I am cool,” I said.
“No,” he said. “You dress cool.”
“Cool just means confident, comfortable.”
“Oh, come on..”
Skeptical, he pointed out details in my ‘costume’. “You’re working very hard to dress cool.”
Now, I’m not adverse to dressing up- every day should be halloween- but that day, it was all function.
