Ronen's Everything

Posts about spytap

My friend Barrett just visited NY. I didn’t make any pics so here’s something from when he visited in February:

Ronen isn’t a person.  He’s a force of nature.  An energy.

I’m almost entirely sure he isn’t even corporeal.

He exists on another plane and looks though you the way you can look through frosted glass to see the shadows behind it.

He’s the most curious person I know, and enjoys examining the more mundane and unexamined aspects of existence - the bits the rest of us take for granted and forget about - because to him they’re the most unusual.  It strikes you as childlike at first - but not in an immature or idealistic way, just a blissful innocence because all of a sudden, you find yourself able to also feel comfortable questioning the entire world around you.  There’s no judgment, no wrong question to ask or answer, you’re refilled with a sort of existential awe, and all of a sudden the world is a playground of curious and wonderful things to explore.

1- Wow. Thanks guys!!

2- I like this meme. Who’s next?

I’m going to break one of my own rules for a second here…

The Truth
during the greatest recession in decades, and in a time when unemployment is skyrocketing, I chose to actively quit my cushy job with its salary and benefits - and incredible location, and awesome people, and even more awesome clients - and go off on my own; trusting that I actually know what I’m talking about, that my ideas, thoughts and opinions are worth paying for, and that I somehow will succeed where countless other have tried and failed.

Why now?

Because now is the best time in history to do so, and I’d run out of logical and reasonable answers to the question of “why not now?” I’d run out of excuses why I was standing on the sidelines, and as of today I start work on my dream project.

My mind still reels at the vision required to look at a vacuum and while the rest of the world sees potential and waits for change, to see a future and work to make it so.  It’s inspiring, and intimidating all at once.

…brother, it is on…

This man is my friend.
